um... wireing open does nothing. you will not gain any power anywhere excpet lose power down below. also, i wouldnt suggest cutting it. just unhook it from the acv.

Don't cut it. That SS pipe is expensive. Just wire it up out the way until you come to your senses.

well anyway the point is also to block the hole after disconnecting one end or the other...

on rotaries, open vented orifices aren't often good things

that pipe uses pressure to open your 5/6th ports. about 3-4 psi created from exhaust backflow actuate the ports. Now your ports will not open. A simple bend and weld would've taken care of it. Your local muffler shop could've handled it for you.

See what this forum is good for??? Two weeks ago I didn't know what that pipe did. I knew it should be on there so I bought a new gasket, polished it up and hooked back up. But I had now clue what it did. Forgot the guys names that were in that thread.

thanks, i am going to the muffler shop at 8:00 in the morning, they are gonna redo the intire exaust, right now the 5th port opens only about half way, the 6th not at all( its stuck open all the time) when i get time i am going to switch to an rpm activated silanoid, until then i just plan on leaving them open, but i am going to the muffler shop tomorro, and i want more control over when they open is why i am not going to use backpressure, but thanks for all the info...
