got myself an 89 GXL parts car for my 91 coupe, need help dismantling
I found an 89 GXL that had just been taken to a junkyard. I am not exactly sure why, we are thinking something is wrong with the motor, though it does start. Anyway, the car is in rather great condition, and I am in the process of canibalizing it for parts/add-ons for my 91 coupe. Already got the rear wiper/washer changed over. I have a couple of questions.
How do you get the front bumper cover off!?!?!?!?!?!? Mine is faded and I want the 89, which isn't.
What is involved in removing the stearing column? I want the tilt stearing wheel. We are thinking its like 4-5 bolts and it should slide right out.
How difficult is it to disconnect and wire up the cruise control on my '91 from the '89. I know there are the following components, but I do not know exactly where they are, how they are interconnected, or how to remove them: actuator in engine bay, switch on dash, computer chip?, clutch switch?, speed sensor?, brake switch?. What am I missing and where are these components?
