hi well after reading up and getting interested in the fc3s i bought one for real cheap. its a 89 t2 with no compression. currently i have no money to swap an engine or rebuild and i got a feeling it's goin to sit aroud for a while. ill probably do a few things here and there but for the most part ill just be immobile until end of this year. the previous owner also had it sitting around for a while too. i was wondering if i should take any precautions to storing it. i already have a cheap car cover, should i do anything else to make sure itll be in good condition mechanically when i do finally get it running?

 

Good Job on doing it the right way. I think the storage procudures recommend draining all fluids & gas. Also leave the trans in neutral.

If your storing it in the sun, you might want to find a shaddy spot instead. I'd put several coats of wax on it too to keep the paint in decent shape & UV protection.

You might want to bid on the TII engines on ebay from that remanufacturer as well.
