Got my new hood installed!!!

Welp, Finally got around to getting a hood and got it put on. I think instead of using the bolts to hold on the scoop section I'm going to get it glued on and the crack filled in smooth before painting it. I took off a perfectly good TII hood and oh **** that thing was light!!! This one is lighter still though!!!

It fits pretty good. The gaps are all even but the driver side is about 1/16th - 3/32nds wider than the gap on the passesger side. Maybe I can get it out with some flexing of the hinges. Fit on the front and around the headlight is great. Uses stock hood latch.

Taking the car to Don Marvel in the morning to get the rebuild done. Should have it back in a few weeks!!

Hood pic is Here

Hey Thanks KiyoKix, Chuck at rotaryextreme.com got me the hood. The price is undisclosed but let's just say he gave me a deal so sweet I bought it and wasn't even in the market for one.

Sweet be sure to post them up when you're done I hope the molding turns out ok for ya. Wish mine wasn't bolted

eh I'm still happy with the looks, be sure to mount some screen for the center peice also. If you find any that matches the outer vents let me know. I found some similar mesh wire but the **** is really flimsy and a little bit larger mesh size.

Why do people worry about rain? Yeah I don't drive mine in the rain cuz I'm ****, but I've driven it in downpours before. I've also sprayed my engine down several times while washing it. Water isn't going to hurt anything unless you're directly feeding it into your intake

too much water may short out something electrical.

nice....but I think it is too aggressive if you don't have other parts on the car--side skirts, etc....

shouldn't short anything unless you've got some shotty *** wireing up in there. Everything should be sealed up like ***** on prom night

here's a pic of the hood painted http://members.***.net/toxxic/DSC00707.jpg

That hood does look tight man! Hell, the water would be bad if it poured down a red hot turbo. That could **** it off

Dude, you had to get the hood installed? Confused?

Nope, the bolts are comming out and I'm going to have the center section stuck down and fiberglassed in so it will look like one piece.

Not your average body/show kit...

Funny how people talk about aero pieces like they're nothing more than a common honda piece. Think about what you say before you condemn something...those vents aren't just for show. You don't see Knightsports making things for other cars...I wonder why?

http://www.knightsports.co.jp/catalo...s/aeropart.jpg

The hood not only cools the car, but also provides extra downforce at high speed. Hardly just a body kit piece...
