Buy a different one?

I hear there's a company out there that makes great fake ones if that's what you're into.

Just messin' man, congrats on your purchase. Welcome to the board.

My stock one is pretty loud. In fact people that have no clue about turbos or car matters always ask, "What's that really loud PPSSSSHHHH noise that the car makes when you shift?"

Well right now it's all stock, and it does sound pretty nice I mean the blow off valve when I shift. I just purchased Tokiko 5 way Adjustable suspension, a short shifter, a new clutch and rotors and brakes. does anybody know a good website about Body kits, i am thinking of bying one.

Do wrc cars have BOVs? Because i dont hear the pshhh nise , only a lot of chirping, so wouldnt they gain performance/reliability by having BOVs?

Yeah, thats what im talking about. That read looks confusing, and a pain in the ***. If your going to do this, you might as well do the TID mod. I did both of mine at the same time, and spent about 35 dollars in parts. I didnt use them all though, and returned some and it ended up about 25. I borrowed a digital camera from my gf, and I can take some pics and do a write up if youre interested. I hope you have a Lowes by your house, cause I couldnt find some of the crap at Home Depot. 1 response is enough for me to do a write up, heck maybe it'll get in the archive.

Right on, heh funny you mention that. I pass by Lowes everyday. Its at a corner that connects a heavy road with a secondary (that I live off of). Not only that, but its where I found my TII. Freaky eh?

On a more mentionable note, I guess you already had a FCD before you did the TID? Any kind of AFC? Just curious, finally have enough money to start spending

Please do! I need some ideas for my TII transplant this winter.

The TII front clip I bought is on the way fro Sydney, AU right now. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for it too.

Yes I do have a FCD, but no AFC.

Ill be working on the car tonight, so ill snap some pics, describe the stuff I bought, and how I put it all together. Ill stick it under a new thread called "How I made my TID." Im off to school.

Dan (and anyone else interested), first you will need to have access to a drill and some bits.

when the mufflers are not hot (car parked for a few hours) go outside, lay on the ground with drill in hand.. oh yeah safety first, can't forget goggles for protection

here is the hard part -------------> choosing the drill bit size just right (it takes some practice but after drilling many muffs you'll get the hang of it, so start small, you can always make the hole bigger) and picking a position to drill the hole(s).... clean up metal shavings and you are done, voila.

go for a ride and enjoy

your resident smartass
