got my first fc

got my first fc

just got a 88 fc convertible n/a...pretty much stock besides straight pipe,headers. and two megan sport exhausts.. the car is white I will post pics up later the car is pretty damn loud. It bothers me when I think its too loud for a n/a rx7 haha question is that "rice" and I would like to know some of the expert's suggestions for the future..

congrats on your new fc. more power is what you need, mainly turbo ll motor swap.

i dont know how the n/a sounds, but i got the same exhaust setup on my turbo, and its nice and deep. not ricey at all, but its turbo, sooooo. who knows

if it being too loud is your concern, a port will generally make it quite a bit louder
you could try putting a muffler in the straight pipe (a borla or magnaflow or one of racing beats)

And repalce those megan mufflers w/ some rotary performance or borla or racing beat dual catback and it will be more bearable.

The header and straightpipe are the biggest culprits.

Put a RB presilencer on it and it should quiet down a bit.

thanks for all the responses and suggestions you guys as of now i think im gonna keep this exhaust set up for now and then get some money for some coilovers and from there all my money is going in performance and power

Megan Racing makes silencers for their mufflers, ya know. I have them sittin, cuz i dont ever use them. U could just buy some of them, and that would quiet it down quite considerably.
