got my banjo bolt(PD replacement)

Well I got my banjo bolt in the mail today from Summit. Damn, no wonder they charged me $8 for "handling." They mailed a bolt in a box that is 10"x10"x10". So thats one less thing I'm waiting on to get my car going.

Yeah I charge about that to ship a CPU or a Logicon as well.

By the time you add in the packing material, the cost of the box, tape, packing list, the Fed Ex charges (cheaper than the USPS when you insure and track), and then drive to Fed Ex (unless I am lucky that day and am getting deliveries), you are just breaking even.

Ya I understand, but they say "shipping" is free. Plus I just found it humorous how large the box was for a damn bolt, lol.

Ya you are not using it for what it was intended for. But if you use the propper size brass crush washer on the end it will be all good. I have pictures on my computer at home of how mine went, be happy to post them after work if you want a visual reference.

Ya if you could post pics that would be great. From simply looking at it, it looks like the hole going through the bolt will still be sticking out and thus, leak fuel. I'm sure I'm wrong but it just seems like it.

Well could you explain how the holes don't leak out fuel? Thats all I need to know really. The holes are closer to the head of the bolt, after the threads stop.

You screw it in until the end of the bolt is fluch with the fuel rail, and a brass crush washer seals the fuel from leaking from the bolt head to teh rail itself. The holes should never come into play. The treads are inside furhter that will keep it tight, just keep screwing it till it's flush.

PD pic

Here is how mine turned out.

I had Earls part # EAR-807991

This part is one of the optional parts that should have the same banjo bolt you have .. just the banjo was out of stock when I needed it. You can see the rest of the contraption on the floor in the pic, I used just the Banjo bolt you see installed. I just used some pipe thread tape on the threads, and you can see the chrome crush washer just under to banjo bolt to seal the deal.

It's been perfect since I did it.

I gotcha. Do the washers that come with it work or do I need different ones?
