Here's an AutoTrader link that (if it works) will give you 4 views of a stock silver '88 Vert, which I believe is the only year the 'vert was offered in silver.

Hmmm... I never knew a stock grey vert existed. I was only aware of the red, black, and the blue.

Thanks.

Sorry... I meant that I only knew of the red, black, and blue released in the first year (88). I knew the white came later(?), but I never knew there was a grey at all.

These 'grey' verts must really just be faded blue ones?

If not, were they west coast only colors or something like that? In all 18 years that I have owned my vert, I have never seen a grey one on the road.

But anyway, thanks all for the pics.

I thought that a silver/grey vert with black trim and black wheels would appeal to me - I was considering buying a white one and painting it.

But after looking at the pictures of the grey ones here, I am not sure I would like it. The stock cars that I have seen just look dull and boring (no offense to anyone who owns/likes them -- just my preference). To me, the only ones that 'pop' are the blacks and the reds. The widebody in the photo above does look a lot better than the others, but I am not yet sold on the idea of grey/silver.

The '88 silver 'verts are not very common, but they are not faded blue. Also, the color is not grey. While pics may suggest grey, in person the cars are obivously silver. Silver was a color option in '88, along with red, black, blue, and white. The silver 'verts in the leather package came with blue interiors. Perhaps the less than thrilling silver/blue color combination is why not many seem to have been sold...?

Even if they were not popular, they would have ultimately sold -- at a heavy discount and we should see more. I wonder what the production numbers were.
