I am debating between Koni 8-way adjustables, or Apex N1 exhaust. Of course I will have to add a little dough though for either!

go for a Apex'i GT-Spec, its better than the N1. or you could get a custom cat back for like $500.

Really, a header? I already have a gutted cat, and I am wiring my 5 and 6 ports open, so wouldn't that shoot all hope of having any torque all to hell?

The header would probably give some torque back because of the long primary tube. Helping the engine breath better is a good bet for performance, but my preference is to work on the handling first. Do the shocks. You can buy KYB AGX and a set of springs for $600. www.coximports.com
