good price for a t2 swap?
i've found a guy who is selling a s4 t2 swap with everything including the t2 tranny. He says it was "rebuilt" before pulled, but he has no proof. He wants $1000 for it all. I just wanted to know your guyzez opinion on this. it sounds ok to me but what do I know...ha

If it's junk, then you are out a few hundred dollars. If you can stand to lose that, I'd go for it. It will be a nice upgrade. Are you getting a rear end, axles, and hubs as well?

If you can see it run, or at least check the compression and find a way to check the coolant seals, AND if it doesn't have over about 90k miles on it then it'd probably be an alright deal.
Or you could call up the people at www.got-jdm.com and get an S5 T2 swap (engine & trans) shipped to you for about $1300 with a 3 month warranty, well this is what I did and am very pleased to have done so! I searched for a month before I decided who to buy from and was very pleased, but then again you never know for sure if the engine will be good (but they have a warranty).
