yes the turbo xs one is a good MBC. although i do not like manual boost controlers as boost is unstable.
ive seen my boose drop off and spike with a MBC
you set the boost on a MBC by tightening or loosening a screw. you can run one controler or two if you realy want too.

All the boost controller consists of is a valve, thats it. How open/closed the valve is determins how much boost is needed to activate the wastegate diaphram spring.

So, with that being said and looking at the title, you could seriously make your own.

Boost dropping off and spiking may be a problem with turbo sizing/function and/or your wastegate.

I have a TurboXS MBC and it works great. Boost stays rock solid. I bought mine from Summit. Boost is set by turning an allen key...not exactly precise, but its fairly easy to find the correct position for your desired boost. But then again, if you're dropping all that money on a GT40 setup, why not get a nice EBC?

Tight budget, eh? Well, this highly sophisticated unit is available at most auto parts stores, for less than a buck. An accurate boost guage is a highly recommended extra-cost option.

(don't flame me--I'm just kidding)
