hey I've got a odd one for you it has good idle then breaks up above 2500 rpm? And i mean too the point that it is un-drivable? (also this is under load) (and this car has been sitting a little while)

 

what do you mean about breaking up? be more specific with whats wrong
can the rpms go over 2500?
have you had problems with your idle lately?

 

87 na 15000 miles on a rebuild he had the injectors cleaned at the rebuild so i doubt its that... he said it is stuttering or what not, when under load it starts running real rough at 2500~ and wont go over 3000rpm~ i think.
im wondering if its the fuel pump... im looking at purchasing the car and i have not personally seen the problem... it was fine i guess a couple weeks ago?... I think he said it would rev fine in neutral so im thinking it is not the tps... hmm...

fuel pump is clooged or weak
