Good A/F when Cruising?
Alright, i did a quick search but didnt really find anything.....
I've got a S4 TII motor in my 1st gen, w/ microtech, FMIC, etc.... When crusing on highway, it seems to be dipping into the 14 range...Now my question is, what would be a decent mixture while under vaccum conditions such as highway?
Thanks....

14:1 is about perfect, anything much leaner and it will begin to lean misfire. do not copy this for positive manifold pressure though, it should be in the 12:1 under light boost and 11:1 under hard boosting range. this all assuming your wideband is positioned properly and accurate.

it all depends on how the engine was built and the setup. a stock car may be able to get away with 15-19AFR range but a highly modded car may not like those AFRs, basically at cruise just lean it out until you feel the engine start to shudder and richen it up a few % from there.
