Ok I own an 87 TII, and I'm told you are not able to put a Power FC on s4's. If thats true what are some good ECU to use on s4's?

I'm planning on upgrading the ECU soon, so I don't want to mess with the stock ECU, cuz I might need it later.... I'm not sure why you can't?

A Megasquirt is not a good choice for someone who needs to ask if there is an ECU upgrade available. The 'Squirt assumes that you have enough knowledge of the car to get it running, and you need electronics knowledge to build and modify the Megasquirt itself.

Viable standalone options for the beginner on the 2nd gen are the Microtech and Haltech. Probably in that order based on ease of install.

what's your budget? Look at the Rtek 2.0..it's plug 'n' play (uses stock ecu) and has a lot of features that your big name standalones have.

Banzai Racing makes an adapter harness for the PowerFC so you can use it on the S4.
