That's not a bad price for a TII of that year and with that many miles. If you take care of her, you can expect another 20K-60K out of that engine. Go get a compression check, so you know the health of the engine and then see if ya can get the car for $2500 or so.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Good price if everything ok. Ckeck big items...Trans, syncros, clutch, exhaust system. As stated above, get a compression test. At least it would give some indication of engine condition. Money goes in a hurry when these cars need repairs. Finding a decent mechanic that knows rotaries is another problem.

You need more information to determine a fair price than just the car year and mileage. Big issues are tires, brakes, paint, rust, interior, etc. See Aaron's site for what to look for.

Also see Blue Book pricing, and be sure to read the definitions of the various condition grades (Excellent, Good, etc.).

Depending on the compression check, I would expect 20-40K miles more from that engine, which means a $2,000 rebuild within the next two years, depending on how much you drive it. Turbo rebuilds are about $500, so also plan on that, as well as the usual old car expenses.
