Good deal for this FC ?

I'm cosidering purchase of this FC but wanted to ask what you'r thoughts about it were.

Ive seen the car in person and it's pretty clean has a bit of rust on the sunroof though and it kind of got stuck when he was showing it to me. The interior is also pretty clean but the seats are ugly and I really hate them. Center console trim thing is also painted blue, wich I think looks like ***.

The test drive was cool too but this was the first time I ever rode in a FC so I really did'nt know what to expect. He says the motor is a rebuilt one with onle 400 miles that he did himself so he did'nt push the car over 4k RPM's the entire drive cous it was still in break in. Although he said he never went full throtle during the entire test drive, when he started to accelerate at low RPM's I could feel a little pull... not much though. I was thinking it's couse it's at low revs and rotarys get there power at the top end. Also I use to have a 87 Supra turbo wich had 300TQ so maby I was just use to the lowend torque the Supra has, but that was 4 months ago and I've been driving slow *** automatics since then.

Yea the car leaks coolant... I think it would lose at least 1/4 of a quart every mile from this leak. I did'nt try to figure out exactly where it was comming from but the guy said its comming from the turbo wich it probably is. Anyone know the cause maby a loose hose or a worn out gasket?

And finally here is a link to the ad. Let me know what yu guys think. I'm probably going to check it out agian tomarrow.

Didn't think coolant could leak thru turbo.

3500 bucks isn't bad for a TII...you can always take it to a mechanic to have it checked out before you buy it. I would recommend that highly if you are new to rotaries or working on cars in general. Not sure who specifically is good in your area though. Ask around here and also in the west section in the regional forums. There are some good shops up in Northern CA. Actually, read this thread.

If the coolant leak is an easy fix go for it.

you live in union city? call/get the car to rick at ricks rotary in pleasanton for a mechanical review, not powering the car over 4000 rpm makes me curious....leaks anywhere are a big concern......it is cheap $ spent on an inspection ......before you buy......
