Good deal?

i recently sold my ae86. and found an 1987 rx-7 non turbo. mint body, motor has 145k on it, custom exhaust, needs a water pump and brake work.
the guy wanted 1600 i talked him down to 1100. i was wondering if this is a reasonable offer? or is the car worth less.
im new to the fc world and dont know there worth/reliability.
i really am looking for a 240sx-like drift car, ive had 2 s13's but never an fc so i thought i would give it a try. i just need to know if 1100 for this car is a good deal for me?

heres some pics:

thanks in advance.

The car looks ok bodywise for a used car in that price range. As long as the interior is ok, and the car runs good, I would say its a good buy. I would try and talk him down to a couple hundred more because the car also seems to need tires in the front (or at least it looks like it in the first picture.) j/k.... Anyway, 1100 seems reasonable for any car that is driveable... at least it is in my opinion.... Just remember... you get what you pay for... especially when it comes to used cars (unless the person just doesnt know what they have)...

well, basically i was just wondering what the average price paid for one of these things is. its NADA value is right around 1700-2000. im prolly gonna go offer him 1000. i just really dont need to be stuck with ANOTHER project car. the ae86 i had was enough of that.
