A good day in the garage...

We've all endured working for hours trying to fix a problem and never getting it or else disrupting something else that will need fixing later on. Every now and then it all works like it's supposed to.
1) My horn wasn't working, so I removed the CPU and took out the logic board for the horn. I didn't resolder, but just steel wooled the contacts. Sprayed some contact cleaner in the female fitting. Put it all back together and the horn works perfectly.
2) I had started experiencing a miss when the secondaries kicked in, so I added a ground wire to pin 2C of the ECU (I was too lazy to trace the existing ground and clean it up). Cut off 1/4" of insulation on the existing wire and soldered a 12" piece of 8 guage to it and connected it to a bolt on the frame. No more miss on acceleration
3) While I had the ECU exposed, I figured I would check the setting of the TPS and adjust it to 1 volt. Warmed up the car and hooked a meter to pin 2G. The reading was 0.98V. I didn't change a thing.

Good call on getting the nice jack.. Its essential on those projects, especially when your alone, like me. If your dropping your subframe, its best to use two jacks, its comes down nice and smooth.. Iv got the 3 ton blue one from costco.. its heavy as hell, but, works great.
