I destroyed my first car. I made the compression numbers on the 4 cylinder truck look like a bingo sheet.(40/60/90/30 hehehe)

If you get a FC get a Series 5 one with low mileage.

NA's can go up to 15-200k before blowing the engine.
Don't go turbo the first time. Learn on a NA then go to a TII.

im 17 and trying to save up for one. you lucky as hell your dad is getting an rx8. all i have is my dads 4 door civic to drive around. i think its probably the best car for the money, there are a lot others if you go up 1 or 2 thousand from the price of fc's.

time to sell my riced out civic and buy a TII.. and leave the rice out.. :P
I think I've had enough cars and done well more than enough work/engine installs on my friends TII FC.
But with the luck my friend has with these cars I'm worried about the reliability. So just incase I'm buying a spare engine/tranny and parts right away for backup

You need a honda-

Reasons why:
cheap, very reliable, as-maybe even more safe, sounds like your hauling *** (then you get passed by a bus, a VW bus)

Downside...The stereotype, FWD, FWD, FWD...... oh and FWD

I think any FR is a bad idea as your "FIRST" car

then again, opinions...are like ********.

oh and FWD!!

dude go with the fc, i'm 16 go for my license on march 12th. I picked up a running fc with a fairly low mile rebuild in it for 250 dollars. some guy dropped it off at the shop and never picked it up. Just from messing around it will be a good car to learn stick in. It has very smooth power and is just a bad *** car. Rotary's are the ****, take care of them and they will take car of you. I say go for it.
