CA Godspeed Radiator Drain Plug

Hi Everyone,

I have a Godspeed Radiator in my S5 NA. I noticed the drain plug on the bottom is starting to leak. I tried looking for replacements but can't seem to find one offered by godspeed at all. Does anyone happen to know the size of the plug?

Have to tried the Drain plug on a normal stock rad yet?..I know that the S4 Rad neck has a plug that actually fits the Rad Drain on an S4 Rad..so maybe you can luck out!

Try a Search for "Petcocks".
Summit has plenty of them But you should see if you can compare the threads before buying.

If not you can always try a little wrap of teflon tape on your drain plug.

try a little teflon tape on the threads or a new o ring if it had one originally

So i pulled out the drain plug. This is what it looks like. The o-ring has a lock of cracks on it. So i'll most likely replace it along with putting some teflon tape. I'm not sure if a koyo drain plug would work?

I have had two Godspeed radiators (still running, and quite happy with, the second) and my experience, along with info from Rotary Evolution leads me to believe the Godpeed is more a name than a factory.
In other words, Godpeed just job shops out their products and you never know what you'll be getting. The difference between my two units was striking and the petcock was completely different between the two. The first rad had a aluminum drain plug (a 17mm hex, iirc), while the second has a plastic, o ringed thumb screw type...and they were not interchangable.
Seems like the "master spec" just said "Put drain here" and left the details up to whoever was making that particular batch.

You're almost lucky you don't just have a cork jammed up there.

take the plug down to your local auto parts store and compare to others, they dont vary by THAT much and they are usually about $5 each. Maybe if they have a real parts guy there he can give you a hand.

They are usually in the HELP or Dorman aisle that has all the little parts in blister packs
