Question Ghetto riged BOV???

I bought a Apexi BOV on ebay for cheep it came with a nissan 300Z adapter, rather then buying or getting someone to make me the adapter for my car I was thinking of just using some barbed fittings tube to reduce the pipe on the BOV to the size tupe thats already on the car for the stock BOV...My question is do you think ill run into any problems with this and how hot does the BOV piping/Tubing, will it melt the plastic barbed fitting???
Thanks alot

Nah, it doesnt get that hot to melt stuff, unless ur heat shield is off or you have a bigger turbo then stock. You should be fine

yeah i dont know if ill be able to find brass, i went to all the auto parts stores and ace hardware and the best i could come up with was scedual 80 1" female threaded coupler and screw in a barbed fitting to each side. I have to go from 1 1/4" to 3/4".

It could be the bov is set to strong. Did you take it for a drive, or are you revving in neutral? If in neutral you have to really rev it to create positive atmospherical pressure.

sounds like its set to a very strong setting. My turboxs can do this by putting in ss washers in the chamber. With none it will open at 5" of HG! With 4 it will open at 6psi, anything under it stays shut.

good it doesn't need to be that loud anyways! it just needs to get the job done. Plus I'm sure the preasure isn't as high down there compared to near the compressor.
