Exclamation Getting Ready for Engine install....

Well I got the Engine rebuilt, looks good nice and clean..

I pulled the old engine out today, I didnt have a hoist so me and a buddy just picked it up out of the car. Anyway the OMP lines on both engines are cracked/broke. Is there not somewhere locally like autozone, home depot etc that I can get some lines that will work. Otherwise it to the mazda dealer I go. 71.00 for the new lines, thats wholesale. I would rather not spend the money if I can do it for less. I guess my only other issue is cleaning all the crud out of the engine bay and trying to get everthing in and hooked up. I am gonna redo the other motor as well just to have a stand by. I will just break it down and clean it up good and grease pack the parts for storage. This is my first Rotary Rebuild, and I am still nervous about it running, but I guess if at first you dont succeed try again. If you guys have any words of wisdom or pointer for the final install it would be greatly appreciated. And I would like to thank everyone that has helped me with issues here and there.

I would save up for the SS OMP lines from Mazdatrix I think? I heard they're like $120 or so. That way you don't have to worry about them breaking on you again.

A friend of mine accidently broke one of my OMP lines when we were removing the motor. Since I didn't have any money for the lines, I just decided to run premix for the time being.

I just "capped" off the oil injection holes on the front cover by screwing in the banjo bolts all the way after removing the lines. And I plugged in the oil injection holes on the top of the housings in a similar fashion. I just went to home depot and matched up the thread size, chopped down my new bolts a little with a hack-saw, used the original copper washers and tightened it down. I've been running 2 cycle oil now for the last 5 months or so with no problems.

I can get the lines for 71bux at the dealer.....But there has gotta be a cheaper way. I still have the OMP ends and new clamps are easy to find. Its the hose thats the real issue. I thought the line that you can get at Autozone etc for the oil pressure guages would fit but its to small. I just hate the idea of spending half a bill for some damn plastic.......Gotta get something by the end of the day, Motor has gotta go in this weekend....must have car running before my kid goes back to school.
