getting the engine running

okay, I'm installing this 13b NT into my volkwagon bug. If i hook up all the wires on the EGR computer, and hook the fuel line up will the engine run, or is the engine function dependent on other electrical devices? I've read a little about a car cpu or something, what other systems exist on the rx7, and will they be important to me?

The ECU is a standalone part of the car. It requires no other connections other then those to it's sensors, injectors and coils to run. And 12V of course.

is that the only thing

is that the only thing that engine function is dependent on?
