I was going to say that they looked like the door contacts the rear of the fenders, and if the doors don't come up any more, that sucks. Now, if the doors worked both regular and scissor style, that would be cool.

 

Doing a Mod like this is really not a good idea... I've seen civics and accords with this mod and after a couple times of opening and closing the doors fitment problems arise...(check the missing paint on the fender for proof) Now imagine this a year from now.....2 years, the hinges start getting worn...it sags more...ect... I am not one to critisize "rice mods" because to each his own, and i like some "rice stuff" (ie clear lenses, tinted tails, et.) But there are probably saftey issues that go along with this mod that some of you may not of thought about.. What if you get in a rollover collision or just a normal collision? I have rolled a vechicle before and the ONLY way i made it out alive was by kicking open the door before the car caught fire.....the roof was flat so there were no windows to crawl out. Something to think about...I have heard someone burn to death in they're car and i still hear his screams in my sleep. It is terrible. Don't do dangerous USELEss mods. P.s you fucked up a really nice paintjob......but anyways....Good luck.

WOW. I forgot how many people have the ability to use a computer, but cannot read. First off the car is NOT mine, so flaming me is useless. In defense of the owner, the car is not rice because it IS very quick. In fact it is one of the only FCs in MD that can beat my GN. But enough of that, here is a pic from behind, as you can see the door swings out slightly, then up.

 

I don't retract my previous statement..........Nice for show cars but not for street use.....period.

if someone could figure out how to do it, they would be a better option considering the fc's door design

 

someone started making these for 3000gt's too. they do look ok on them because there bodys are already a little excentric. but on an RX-7 it would just look retarded. RX-7 looks bad *** enough if you ask me. i would estimate the price to be around $2,000. thats how much the custom ones for the 3000 went for anyway and the actual hardware was just a set of hinges

AMEN BROTHER, my girlfriend has bumped so much **** with the edge of my door, that now when she gets out i remind her everytime to watch what she is doing and then she gets pissed....average woman. Dont like the doors though, no offense intended.

I got a ride a girlfriend I know's new Mercedes vert with these doors and the hardtop folds into the trunk with a push of a button. Really sweat. Anyways some might not like it on a FC but then again thats why all our cars don't look the same and have the same mods.
