DAVE,
It's not a 5.0 and it beats a 5.0.
Seat of your pants ride.
I can leave the windows open at 85MPH and it feals great.
You can rev it to the readline all day long and never hurt it.
Stiffest / smoothest ride you'll ever feel.
A BAZILLION ways to mod it including a 3 rotor upgrade.
A BAZILLION bodykits and exterior upgrades.
50/50 balance makes it fun in the twisties.
You control the car instead of the car controlling you.

I love too hear it! From 60-100 there are not many 5.0s than can touch us. Yea I love the fact that we can rev until the cows come home too! Handling is also amazing! Best of all I have had mine as a daily driver for two years and it has never let me down!

mmmm pretty much all he said, the revving, the exhileration of the ride, the pratical good looks, great handling, 50/50 weight, light, high revving. its great, rotary is unique, 1.3litres can do some damage.

It's cool being different, we got a different type of engine than everyone else,we are the underdogs, no one but us knows what a 1.3 rotary can really do. I like the bodystyle and they are fun to drive. I like it when someone sees my engine and they're just standing there shocked. Thats why Im obsessed with rx7s.
well before i even got into cars, my dad and i were lookin around for used cars and spotted my first car, an 87 N/A. we test drove it, and loved it. it was peppy, then i started learning about the car, and have been with an rx-7 ever since. i now have my 88 T2 which i would never even think about giving up.

Getting chills going through all the gears just cause i want to.
Letting people know you have a turbine by letting the BOV scream in the next lane.
Im not going through them all.

b4 i bought the car..i like FC or Rx-7 because of the look...and heard a little bit about rotary...
after i got the car...like the power and turbo. still love the styling etc..
then after 1 yr...the styling and power aren't much attraction to me anymore...
it's the driving pleasure of the unique rotary power car..
small engine allowing weight reducing, lower center of gravity, lower hood better visibility, and low driving position, these are things that i definitely love about my car, it's like the feeling when u step into ur car and sit down....
and i can never find these kinds of feeling from other car except FD
well i am not saying other cars can't offer these kind of driving feeling..i am sure some MR cars can have this low driving positon also...
but RX-7 are just too cool

When I bought it, it was the looks, 2 seats/2 doors, the fact that I could fit (I'm 6'4") and the uniqueness (rotary engine and the fact that you don't see one at every street corner). After owning it for three years, its still the above. Now I also like it for the performance, a TII has got to be one of the best bang for the buck deals out there; easily 'go to jail' speed capable, excellent handling/brakes and its the first car I've owned that I back off on before it surprises me.
I looked hard at 240sx's (my previous car was a 72 240Z that eventually rusted to nothingness) and am glad I got my TII.

If you had seen me do it - you'd swear I was a professional because I caught the spin and kept on going.
My sister had an '84 GS. I liked the styling, so when I turned 15 1/2 I bought my first car with my own money. A grey '84 GSL with red leather interior. The previous owner was a fanatic; the perfect person to buy a used car from. When I blew that one up, I drove my dads Volvo 740 turbo for a while, then eventually found a good deal on a '90 GXL. I've always liked the high-end options model of the RX. This car has been a litte dissapointing though. I'll either fix up my blown '84(thats right! Its in the garage!) or save up for a TII.
what's not to like
you can shoot fireballs on tap, even though mine is a N/A I can beat up on my friends 3.1 V6, a few probes and those damn honduhs.
the sound of this car at full throttle is enough to send a chill up my spine and now that I have a header, presilencer just makes it that much better.
how funny it is when you get next to one of the rustangs and hand them there *** and then tell them your 1.3LT just took on there 3.8.
there are so many mods to be done.
the most reliable car I have ever owned. is the fastest car I ever owned and still gets the best mpg on gas.
nice looking body. kinda funny when someone walks up and says nice porsche.
and again gotta love those fireballs I can spit :-)

It is many things. Mainly it is the whole RX-7 vision. The RX-7 is a car designed to have flawless handling, a unique potent powerplant, two seater configuration, good looks. My car is an '86 and the guy at my work thought that it was like a '92 or something (granted mine has recent paint). Compare the '86 RX-7 to any other '86 car and you will find that no other car from that time had looks that are as modern as that car. It is simply a well designed car. Even though it was made in '86, it still handles as well or better than most cars today, and is still faster than many cars today. I know I am not the fastest thing on the road, but I do alright. One of the biggest things that attracts me to my car is the rotary engine. The uniqueness, and excellent design of the rotary engine is what makes me continue to love my car. It has something that, for the most part, you will only find in an RX-7. Plus that engine is really friendly to mods, so as long as I have money to spend, I can keep making my car faster. Like I said, there are many reasons, there are even more that I didn't list here.
