gauge wiring problems.

i have rewired my gauges several times and i have done everything short of wiring them to the battery. well i have a a/f and electronic oil pressure gauge and when i have like my head lights on or i step on the brakes the oil pressure goes to zero and when i let off it goes back up. i have them wired to a fuse right now but i was wondering if there was a better way to do that. thanks all.

Why do you have them wired to a fuse? Just wire into an 12v constant, 12v illumination, and a good ground.

I have my gauges wired into an add-a-fuse and never have any problems. What fuse do you have them run through? Sounds like a bad ground to me.

what are you using for a 12 volt source??? Sounds like the 12 volt source or the ground source (depending on what your gauges have constant) is on the wrong wires
