well, I checked carparts.com and they don't have any specifically for the 89-91 rx-7's. I believe the reason for this is because of the power seatbelts being on the a-pillar, any other responses?? Is there maybe a gauge pod for another car that will work in mine?? Any help is appreciated.

I dont know how your seatbelts work, because mine is an 87. Try www.autometer.com I got mine there and it fit fine, VDO also has one I believe. Another suggestion is to find a store that has a bunch of the autometer pods in stock and just start trying them in your car till one fits right.

Autometer dosn't make a pod for the '89-'91. Even though they say they do. However, there tech people recomended using a heat gun to make it fit. And that is what I did with my dual pod. I would recomend practicing with some plastic before having fun with your pod. I wish i did

Yea, just use the heat gun like Wankel7 said...
...I have pics of Wankel7's (which I'm sure he does too) gauge pod mounted in his T2 if you would like to see them. Just PM me. Also, the guage pod that they send you is the same for any year Rx7, and ironically its also the same for a honda Accord..Wankel7's box even said that, weird huh?

Nope. They don't exist. Neither do complete Apillars w/ pods already put in them. Our only choices(that I've ever seen) is a single or double.

I hate those plastic pods. Mine melted in the damn sun. I suggest the metal ones that are universal, Im not positive about a 89-91 but They are pretty cool looking. Im sure that you could use three gauges with that.

I know these Autometer pods work for the 89-91 convertibles. I have a single and dual gauge pod on my 90 vert.

Turbocharged, I got my dual A-pillar gauge pod for my 89'TII from mazdatrix which sells them if I remember right $24-28. It looks great and is real easy to install I don't know if it is differant from the pre 89's A-pillar but it fits. Only thing I don't like about it is there is a very small gap between the A-pillar and pod, but I didn't use the heat gun probably should have.
