gauge cluster confusion

Exclamation gauge cluster confusion

ok about a week ago i got my 88 n/a going. well the volt gauge has never worked and the temp works sometimes. sometimes it reads sometimes it doesnt. than the oil reads good untill you stop. if you stop it sits at like 20 or so. if you sit ther for like five minutes and than take off it goes to 0 and sits there for a while. than out of no where it jumps bake up to like 50. any ideas on the problem and how to fix it

Have you taken the gauge cluster out to make sure it is hooked up correctly on the back. THere are 2 harness clips and a speedo cable.

Have you checked the the oil pressure sending unit to make sure it has a good connection?
