If using the FD Greddy elbow it looks like you would cut pipe #5 on the greddy FMIC kit about the middle of the strut tower. Looks pretty simple to fit if you just cut the pipe maybe some flex couplers.

3 more lbs of boost.....free!
Nothing documented that I know of, but the straight runners should provide more flow.

I've got both s5 TII UIM + TB and FD units. If we find a way to wire up the FD TB, I may be able to do back to back dyno runs. We'll see.

I'm halfway done with making my own adaptor, but I may be interested if I was sure of the craftmanship of these adaptors. Do you have any completed we can see a pic of?

Also, is there a difference between S4 and S5 LIMs? I can't remember and my setup is going from an S4 LIM to an S6 UIM. It appears that all of the talk in this thread is for an S5-S6 adaptor.

Thanks.

I don't have any pictures of this particular flange/adapter, but below are some pictures of flanges i've done in the past!

(20B flange and T6 flange are my work, not the manifold! )

(13B flange is my work. This flange was cut on a water jet, NOT on one of my CNC mills. Unsure of who made the T4 divided flange.)

Hope that helps give you an idea of what kind of qaulity these adapters will have.

As far as power gains, that's not exactly my line of work. I'm just the machinist! The best person to speak with about this would be GUITARJUNKIE28.

I have a GReddy fmic with the fd uim and tb. I took a GReddy tb elbow for the fd and cut the elbow from its flange. I then cut out a pie section from the elbow where it once connected to the flange to reangle it towards the front headlight as opposed to the center of the radiator like how it originally was. A band saw worked great for cutting the elbow from the flange if you have acces to one.
That was the easy part.
I then rewelded the flange back onto the elbow but since I had cut out the pie slice, the flange opening was larger than the opening of the elbow. To compensate, I just kept building up the weld beads with more aluminum until there was enough material.
After all that, the inside of the elbow had to be smoothed out from all the layered beads. It was a ton of work but it came out very good imho.
I used the ic tubing supplied with the GReddy kit on the exit side of the ic to meet up with the custom tube I had made from the elbow. The two tubes meet right under the sheet metal next to where the battery used to be.

On a Side note, you will have to figure something out for the oil filler neck. I was able to just order the shorter press in tube from an fd (the part that presses into the center iron) and use the stock TII filler neck on top of that. This was possible since I had reangled the tb elbow away, otherwise it would not have been possible. Of course there are other solutions, but tha was the easiest way for me.

That is my exhaust manifold. The exhaust flange TT Rex provided me was top notch quality. Even though it was water cut, the edges were very smooth. Later I got a 20b exhaust flange from him that was cnc'd. It is one gorgeous hunk of steel.

The T4 flange on my manifold was sourced from Burns Stainless. Their flanges don't have anything over TT Rex's.

It'd then be worthwhile to me, as my intake manifolds have been portmatched. May not be as smooth for airflow as a flange like this, but it gets the job done. I'm not looking for the most HP possible.

do you have the 5-axis head for your waterjet? otherwise how will you cut the angles to adapt the ports? im not sure how much different the two manifolds are, but ive been thinking about this for a while, and tho i have access to a waterjet (omax 3-axis) i dont have a manifold and didnt want to buy one until i was sure i could make it work without too much of a pain in the ***. if youre cutting this with a 5-axis, might just be easier for me to get yours...
