well i fille dup my tank about 80 miles ago and i was for sure that it filed up cause i tried to add more and it overflowed but my guage only rose to 1/4 tank... and this mornign 20 miles ago teh guage droped to E....... im not sure wats going on ne one got ideas? im hopeing my guage is wrong...... but i dont know how to check it

 

probably the sending unit in the tank is messed up.

 

Probably the sender unit in the tank, attached to the pump bracket assembly...

Search- there are lots of guys with these types of problems...
