Gas door broken - help?

The spring on my gas door went the other day and was wondering if anyone has ever fixed this before....is it an easy fix, or a long job? The gas door usually stays shut but will fly open around corners.

Are you talking about the spring that keeps the pin sticking out?

I'm not sure which spring it is that's broken, all I know if that when I pull the lever to open the gas door, it will do nothing but make a little clicking sound near the gas tank. The door won't stay closed because SOME spring in there is broken I think, but I don't know which one it is.

What you need to do is go in the back of the car on the side where the gas cap is. Take up the carpet on the side and reach your hand back there. You will then be able to access the springs that keep the gas cap door closed. That way you will be able to see what spring is broken or missing. It may be just stuck, mine always use to get stuck until I cleaned it out one day, hope that helps.
