I've noticed people are using this g-tech meter.I was wondering how accurate is it,has anyone compared track/skidpad/g-tech info. for accuracy? Also what other functions does it have, and would you recommend one?
i used the g-tech while i was at a 1/4 time track and everytime it was within .01 sec accurate, if u ask me thats pretty damn close. if u can find a flat 1/4 piece of road out there on the street where it woudlnt be dangerous to run your car i say go ahead and use the gtech it works very good. make sure teh surface is leveled and run teh car both ways and take teh average. good luck
Before my TII was heavily modified, the G-Tech showed 13.26 qtr mile and the track said 13.91.
After the big mods, the G-Tech said 12.5 and the track said 12.2.
I use it as a tuning device, instead of having to go to the track after every change made. The G-Tech is very consistent but in my case, not real accurate.
