Ok so i am putting the finishing touches on my car tonight after being in kansas for the weekend and i got my koyo radiator in without a problem and all of the fluids filled up.

So i finished up all the electrical work or so i thought but after cranking my engine a few times with the EGI fuse pulled out i go to put it back in, it seems like the BAC makes quite a bit of noise and is working when i stick this fuse back in. I don't remember doing this before so what gives? i know i have it hooked up right and everything but why would the BAC start to work only after i plug in the EGI fuse?

I think when you put in the fuse, it completes the circuit to the BAC valve. If you just hard wired the BAC valve in, and a power surge seems to occur, it could **** up the BAC, so the fuse is there for safety

 

Lol thanks for the answer. but i know what fuses do, just more or less is my BAC supposed to sound like how it is sounding now?

I did get my car running tonight for a short while but i'm pretty positive i have some vac leaks that need to be taken care of. otherwise my car should be running fairly soonish.

But for clarification, when you turn the key to the On position should the back be clicking a whole lot?

if you have the FSM, you can test the resistance to see if its bad. i think its like 16k or something

 

Yes your bac should be sounding as it sounds. It has a duty cycle. It opens and shuts at approx 120hz give or take a few. Your car is normal. There is no problem. Go about your life trouble free now.
