Funny exhaust smell

I got a TII, pretty much stock. K&N OEM air filter and Apexi turbo timer. 10K on new motor and 1K on rebuilt turbo. Well, anyway, after the car warms up the exhaust starts to smell funny. Kinda like moth *****. The O2 voltage is about .8 WOT. I'm I too rich? Too lean? Normal?

Any help, thanks.

Could be an exhaust leak. That often seems to be the culprit for weird smells.

I guess my eyes water after a bit. And the car is stock, including cats.

welcome to the FC exhaust leak family..haha, my exhaust smells too due to my exhaust leak..if you get a chance to lift your car do it, start it and cover the mufflers with rags and you will be able to hear where the leak is coming from... if that is what you have.

i thought that if the exhaust makes your eyes burn then you have a normal exhaust :-p .. meaning rx7s have a stinky and strong exhaust?

You're catalyitic converter may have also failed. It gives off a rotten egg/mothball type smell when it does so.

Thats what everybody has hinted at. Oh well, better get used to it. Got a turbo back 3" system coming from RB soon. :-)

hey wouldn't it be a good idea to pull out your cats, then point them downwords and just spray the crap out of it with Carb cleaner? wouldn't the aftermath of 10 cans of carb cleaner somehow clean it?

just an idea. i figure i can stand my car on some jacks and do it on a free day... like maybe today?
