fuel tank 3-way check valve

Is this the 3-way valve people talk about when they remove the charcoal canister? If so, did I label the lines correctly? Just want to make sure I don't get the wrong one or something.

It's in the line that goes from the tank to the charcoal canister. Follow the metal lines to see which one goes where. The line out the bottom is open-vented. There is no liquid fuel in any of those lines, just air and fuel vapours.

Look at the schematic of the Evaporative Emissions system in the FSM. That'll make it clear.

It doesn't really show where stuff is in the car, thats why i took this pic, to see if I'm looking at the right thing. I check out the FSM again though.

On page 4A-85 in the 86-88 FSM it doesn't show the valve in relation to the rest of the car; only the fuel tank, a line, and the valve. Anyone have a better pictures, like a real picture of the actual valve? I did a search on removing the charcoal canister, but nobody included any pictures.

You are looking at the right thing.

Follow the metal lines. One will go to the engine bay (charcoal canister) and the other will go up to the top of the tank.

And the one going to the charcoal canister is the one you leave open to the atmosphere?
