WI fuel system upgrade questions

Hey all, its been a while since I've been on here but I have a few questions. Now before you ask I have done research but not as much as I wanted to do on it because I dont have much time right now. But anyways heres the thing:
I bought a 87 tII in november just in time to put it away for the winter lol, and when I bring it back out this spring I would like a better fuel system. As of right now heres my motor setup:

streetported, stock S5 turbo w/ ported wastegate, exhaust, emisions removed, intake, SAFC neo, FCD, walbaro 255. running 12psi

Now it runs really lean to the point where it lean-cuts. I am running the stock top mount but I will get a FMIC along with a wideband AFR and pyrometer before I bring it out this spring.

But I was wondering what you guys suggest I do for a fuel system upgrade. BTW in a few years I am looking to do a turbo upgrade and stand alone unit and what not, but that isnt until I get more money and the knowledge on how to do it.

I was looking at this but it says it doesnt work with the stock ecu but would it work considering I'm running a SAFC??
http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/extremefuel.htm

I just need sugestions and Ideas on what to do and any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks

I would start with some bigger secondary injectors.
Adjustable FRP.
Fuel pump rewire.
New fuel filter. ( cheap insurance )

And I think that kit says that it will not work with the stock ecu because it comes with 1600cc secondaries.

Always nice to see WI RX7 owners pop up! Before you go crazy spending money on something that might be an easy fix have you checked the voltage at your walbro? I've never personally had any issues but have read many tales of people losing voltage over old/shoddy wiring. It might be as easy as running some new wires back to your tank.

Side note: Where in WI are you located?

I would rewire your fuel pump and get an rtek 1.7 (http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=rtek7) with some 720cc secondaries.

you don't need an adjustable FPR...

do you have a fuel cut defender?

1.No i never checked the voltage, never thought of that. I've been told that with 12psi the stock fuel system cannot keep up.
2.Im in South Wayne, West of Monroe about 10 miles.
3.I do have a fuel cut defender
4.What do you mean by rewire the fuel pump? What does that do?
5. also what all is involved with putting in the rtek 1.7??
thanks alot

Rewiring the fuel pump is exactly what it sounds like. You run newer (usually heavier gauge) back to the fuel pump. As for the stock fuel system, well, you dont really have the stock fuel system anymore. Rx7's have quite large injectors from the factory although upgrading the secondaries can help prevent your car from leaning out in the top end. 720cc secondaries and a good tuning should be fine for your setup provided you are actually getting the fuel from the tank to the motor. I cant comment on what's involved in setting up the Rtek.

it's just soldering a socket onto the stock ECU for the new chip to go in.

You can also just send them your stock ECU and they'll do it for you for an extra like $15 or something.

it remaps the stock ECU for 720 secondaries (or 4x720 if you get the 1.8) and does some other stuff. Look around on their site.

rewiring the fuel pump isn't a bad idea, but I don't think that will fix your problem.

i hate to threadjack but when you swap in new secondaries. All you need for the UIM removal is just the LIM to UIM gasket correct? Nothing else?

Yes, you can use your SAFC with the RTEK, but the RTEK 2.1 will do a hell of alot more than the SAFC. Besides fuel adjustment you can adjust timing and monitor just about every sensor in the engine. And datalog them also. Maybe overkill for what your trying to do now, but could be worth it down the road.
