fuel/starting problem
so get this, I go to crank the car but just dont crank it long enough to fire up, no big deal right? Wrong. I go to crank it again and as I am cranking it the gas gauge slowly starts to drop until it cant go down anymore. Its like it is out of gas, but its not. When this happens the car will not start. SO to get the gauge to go back up I pull the EGI fuse, crank it a little put the fuse back in and 50% of the time the gauge will go back to where it was. But if I crank it again the gauge will drop so the only way to fire it up is to push it. What does that mean? Whats wrong? Fuel pump? EGI relay? I hear it clicking. Fuel relay under dash? I dont have a clue. When the car is running it is real strong and doesn't skip or anything. Im stuck.

hrm......after reading that I want to tell you its the Fuel Pump, but I am not comepletely sure, it is just a feeling. Could be a bad connection or bad pump. Then again I could be way off so I dunno. Can you smell gas when your trying to start it and it is not starting? If so that usually indicates fuel pump or injector problems. Good luck with it.
