fuel reg question

will disconnecting the vacuum hose on the standard FPR stop it from regulating pressure? need to know as installing malpassi fuel reg and it would be much easier to plumb the hose straight to the standard FPR instead of trying to find an adapter type thing.

no.

you need to get the little fitting that goes in the fuel rail to replace the stock FPR if you plan to run an aftermarket one.

Is called a -6an to M12x1.25 solex carb adapter. then you need a fitting to change the 6an to a 3/8 hose barb. part numbers below.

www.jegs.com

361-991945 $6.99 6an to 12mm x 1.25

361-700167 AN Size: -06; Straight; 3/8'' Hose $3.69

get those.... just over $10 to do the job right.

NO. If you disconnect the vacuum hose the regulator will regulate at a constant 37.5 psi. No more, no less ever and ever (on the whole a true statement, on the whole).
