Fuel rail upgraded, now running issues
Hey Guys,
Seem to keep running into another problem when i fix one, i had a fuel leak between the hose on primary and secondary rail so we got some weld on fittings and uses push lock with -6 hose which after pressure testing didnt leak.. Sweet!
All injectors had been cleaned about 1000km ago when the rebuild was done. Im running a sard reg and the factory one was cut off and the rail was hollowed out, but the primary rail remains factory, would the free following of the secondary rail cause issues?
Problem i have now is the runs a bit rough seems to idle ok, but as soon as you give it a little gas on idle it makes it shake like its running on one rotor probably is, checked the plugs and tried new ones no change and its definitly getting spark, i noticed the fuel pressure was quiet high and turned it down to 35psi which made it alot smooth especially at idle however didnt want to go any lower, its still isnt smooth when u put some gas on it. Motor has just been run in and hasnt had any issues, been trying to sort out the little issues before i go for a full tune. Another thing i mite mention is when i was looking at the boost gauge the car isnt at vacum when at idle its at zero and when you lightly give it some gas it goes to boost straight away and you can hear it so the gauge isnt faulty, i think that maybe related that its not at vacum at all
Any ideas on what i should check first?
Cheers
