Fuel Pump Wont Quit Whining!!

i have just installed 2 brand new pumps one after the other to see why they wont quit whining before i start the car. i did the fuel pump rewire mod cause my car has shitty wiring and was not giving any volts to the original power wire that runs the fuel pump. ever since then the pump never stops whinning before i crank it over. help me please make my pump stop whining.

What fuel pump did you replace it with? And how did you rewire it?

i used the instructions on www.1300cc.com to rewire my pump. it used to whine alittle bit and then once it was pressurized it would stop whinning before i would start the car. now it just will not stop whinning. i am using a stock pump from autozone for my 88t2.

A stock pump usually won't whine at all, have you replaced the filter/etc? The pump shouldn't be running prior to cranking, are you sure you did it all properly? There's a switch in the AFM that will keep it turned off, or if the yellow connector is jumpered near the passanger strut area.
