fuel pump won't operate
What's up with my fuel jumper, I connect the 2 ends with wire, turn the ignition to on, and the fuel pump won't operate.
the fuel jumper was grounded to the strut tower - not sure it that's right.
ideas?

Grounds can go anywhere. The strut tower is metal, and has connection to the battery ground via the chassis. The ground should be fine, just as long as the chassis ground is solid.

Be VERY careful when working around this stuff. It's alot easier than you think to cause an uncontrollable fire.
Good luck, hope you find where the fuel is leaking.

I have the intake off, with the fuel pump running, the fuel rails, including the pulsation damper and pressure regulator, are all bone dry. (I let it run for awhile)
So no leak found as of yet.
I think I've traced a fuel smell to the crankcase evaperator, that little tube coming out of the oil filler. Is this normal?
*******
Also (if you've read this far), if I can't find a leak when testing with the fuel pump jumped and intake off, can I be confident that there is no leak?
