Fuel pump sending unit wiring help.

I've replaced my supply and return lines with -8 SS lines and AN fittings. Just running a SS pickup tube in the tank now. Fuel pump is external and I have no need for the power wires in the tank any longer.

I would however like to keep the sending unit functioning for my fuel gauge. What is needed to do this?

Here is my wiring.... Can I just remove the power and ground wire I used for my old pump and leave the low level sending unit wire and the fuel qty wire plugged into the factory harness? Do these need any sort of power or ground to work correctly?

New setup....

Both sensors- fuel level and low fuel warning- require a chassis ground to function.

So as long as I have my fuel "cap" grounded and the sending unit housing grounded.... they should work correctly?
