Fuel Pump Rewire - wear out pump?

Hey all

I was going to rewire my fuel pump so that its always getting full voltage. Im not worried about too much fuel at idle, because i have a WOLF 3D to control all of that. My only concern is wheather or not having full voltage all the time will put undue stress on my pump, or if its no big deal. Thanks for help!

you could rewire it so it retains the stock resistor assembly. Part of the reason they designed it to give 9v to the pump at idle and crusing was to reduce the load on the pump. The only time 12v goes to the pump is at about 3500 RPMs under heavy load; I've verified this with a fuel pressure gauge.
