curious how he leaned it out too....do you have an SAFC or other type of fuel management...SDS maybe?

no when i got the car, and you started it is smelled like a racetrack after 10 hours coming from the tailpipe. then when you would accelerate it would stop. At even higher rpms it would just choke it's self out, or feel like bump bump.

Too rich is bad too. Richness can cause the same problems as leaning. Did you try chking the volts to your fuel pump. Old wiring/relays creates loss of voltage which would cause lean conditions.

we checked voltage to the fuel pump and it was up to specs. and also forgot to add installed a air fuel ratio guage and wired it up not sure if it had to do with the o2 sensor but it was barely getting a reading before the replacement and after it was in the ideal area still close to lean. then removed the guage (need to put it back in).

well ill take any pump really, i think thats only part of the problem. i think i need to clean out the carbon in the motor, however i do that. maybe its a stuck apex seal?
