Hi, Im going out to buy a rx7 gen2 and the owner says the only thing wrong is the fuel pump is broken, so Im taking a working one out of one of my cars to test the car out before i buy it. Never taken one out or put one in before. Can some one lead me to a site with pictures and instructions? or provide some for me... Ive been search with little to no luck for the last 4 hours searching on my own.

i dont have any pictures but i can explain how its done . first you take off the the plate in the back under the carpet on the drivers side . 4 screws . then you remove the fuel lines , 2 of them (mark them so you know wich one goes where when you put it all back together . next unplug the terminal . then you see around 8 smalls screws . be careful with them they can be fragile , but i didnt see to have a prob with them . after unscrewing those that allows the whole unit to be pulled out . you gotta kind of take it out at an angle . once you have it all out look for a screw on the bottom . unscrew that . then disconnect the positive and negative terminals . then all you gotta do is wiggle the old one out . put the new on in . hook up the terminal , screw in the bracket that holds the fuel pump in . drop the unit back in . make sure the 2 rubber nubs on the gasket push completly through the alignment holes . then put the screws back , the plug , and the fuel lines . and thats basically it . sorry for this cheesy as write up but it is pretty easy and self explanatory. let me know if theres something you dont understand.

please disconnect your battery before doing anything around your fuel tank that could conceivably cause a spark

forgot about that part , i'd figure you'd have enough common sense to do that though .
