Okay long story short .. fuel pump died on me in san jose.. I came to pic up a taillight from a rx7club member. he has an s4 i have a dead s5 and im stuck... and he has a working s4 fuel pump. The question is...

Will a s4 fuel pump work in a S5? And if so would it cause any harm to the motor?


i just drove about 40 miles on a s4 fuel pump traveling about 50 - 55mph on the highway.. the exhaust smells lean..

 

different part numbers, not sure if they are interchangeable. i dont see why they would be different but

 

it could be different in fuel flow to the motor though...

just checked thr FSm the have the same fuel flow rate 64.0 psi - 85.3 psi
odd though there different part #'s. thanks for the help
