Fuel pump question.

The previous owner of my car installed a walboro fuel pump. When he did this he did the fuel cut mod to the car. Now heres the question. I have a rebuilt street ported engine and everything else is stock, i dynoed my car at 148 hp. The dyno basically plateaus at around 3500 rmp with the 148 hp. Everything seems to be working fine. Is there any way the pump could be the reason for the lack of power.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail. If the pressure drops at higher RPM/load settings, you need (better fuel pump/new fuel filter/larger fuel lines).

First question - how do you know it's the fuel pumps fault?

Second question - what kinda dyno are we talking here?
148 on an MD or DynoPack would be more like 200 on a DynoJet.
If the 148 was done on a DynoJet, then I'd be worried.
