Fuel pump power wire?
Still troubleshootin' the car into the wee hours...On an '88NA, which wire (on the pump harness side of the plug) supplies the juice for the pump? Also, once the pump pressurizes the system, does this voltage disappear? From what I can decipher from the Haynes manual, it's a blue wire. Problem is, there's a blue wire goin' into the plug (on the shock tower), and then a blue wire comin' out of the plug, but on a different terminal than the blue goin in...need a guru...again...

The power for the fuel pump comes from the L (blue) wire on the chassis plug and transforms into a BW (black/white) wire on the fuel pump harness.
There is approx 12v there when:
1.The key is HELD to START.
2. Whenever the engine is running.
3. When the fuel pump CHECK CONNECTOR is jumpered and the key is to ON.
The pump runs continuosly when its in the above conditions. It DOES NOT stop pumping just because the fuel rail is pressurized.
YOU need to download the fsm off the net. Its free. The Fuel Section, please.
