Question Fuel pump and injector questions. Experts helpfull.

Ok about 4 days ago my car broke down, diegnost it and it was the Fuel Pump. So i got a fuel pump from mazsport who have done my rebulit and tranny work. I bought a tII fuel pump b/c he said it flows better than the 87 n/a stock pump. So i was wondering about how much better. (i.e. was only 25 more dollars anyways.)
Know my real question. First off my mods are 87 n/a agrassive street port, bonez intake, bonez straight pipe to apexi n1 exhaust. So what do I need to upgrade my injectors to. And how do i clean them.was reading around and seen tons of post saying ppl need to clean them but how do i do that besides fuel injector cleaner. And the other thing how in the HELL do i lean my car out for a little more h/p. Mine runs very rich. I know n/a's run rich allready but mine is really high. besides getting a halltech.

Your running mega rich b/c of that damnd pump! It is causing the injectors to flow over rated duty PSI and making you run rich go back to a N/A pump! You do not need bigger injectors to get them cleaned you send them off or have a local shop that cleans injectors clean them in a special machine. If you have a tuner handy I suggest mega squirt EMS if not you can tune with a SAFCII and a wide band AFR gauge.

Stop upgrading fuel components, that's how! You did not need a bigger fuel pump and you don't need bigger injectors. Putting an NA pump in will lean out mixtures straight away. If you want to go leaner you need a fuel controller and some dyno time.

Yep, get rid of the TII pump for starters. If your call is already running rich, there is no need for larger injectors, as it would make it run richer. To lean it out the easiest way is to get an s-afc or other fuel controller. The best way to clean the injectors is to send it off to be done professionally. I sent mine to cruzin performance (www.cruzinperformance.com) and they did a great job. It cost about 55 shipped. He flow tests them before and after so you can see how much better they are working. Fuel injector cleaner does little to nothing. As far as I know the only one that does anything is techron. Its pretty expensive though, and it mainly works when over time as a preventative method, not to suddenly clean the injectors.

I guess the TII pump will work, but you are gonna need to get a fuel computer to lean it out. There is no way to adjust the stock computer. You either fool it with a piggyback that alters the afm signal, or you replace it with a standalone.

sell the T2 pump on ebay and get an n/a pump...

why would you want to go full circle only to wind up where you started by leaning it out to compensate for too large of a fuel pump? or you could buy an SAFC and have a flashy blue faced "thingy" on your dash.

It doesn't have to be on the dash in full view.

They're available all over the place both new and used, so search for pricing info.

There's only eight wires to connect at the ECU, so a pro could do it in an hour or two.
