That plug in your hand is the front right hand speaker plug. The wire colors match. See the free fsm that is online.

The seventeen pin plug above your hand is for the theft protection unit.

Wayne should have know both those plugs. I gave him his chance.

The plugs weren't important to the gripe, therefore I dismissed them. As it was, it took you a day to track it down...

Getting slow in your old age, Hailers?

Now, now, children. If you can't play nice...

Don't.

ANYway: I still have the airpump, intact, and still in. From the look of the exhaust, I have the two OEM "box-" style resonators (the first thing off of the manifold, before the **** piping begins), and that's it. No cat, to speak of.

Looking at the FSM, it looks like both the pump and afterburn are somehow working with/ off of the cat, Ja?

It looks like there's a tube going to the cat, but from where, I dunno.

So I COULD disconnect the airpump, or at least take it out of the intake cycle, right? I mean, even if I leave it in the car - why I would do that if it's not functional, I don't know. The A/C doesn't work, and 99% of THAT's gone - it won't harm anything, correct?

Cool.

So, in a pinch, explain what the damned thing does, and what would happen if I added it to the growing pile of "deep-sixed" parts.

Also, I've noticed that there's this - for lack of better term - "spooling up" sound that ends in - again - "BOV" sound. Usually this is under mild acceleration, and "blows off" slowly when I let my foot off the gas, and quickly when I foot the clutch.

WTF is THAT!?? Could it be the trans? I have been getting a fairly large amount of heat from the trans, through the hump, lately.

When we put the clutch in, we drained the trans, did our business, and the filed it back up with gear lube (All actions repeated for the rear-end). I think my buddy added a couple of ounces of recommended ATF before he reinstalled the shifter. Bad?

<sigh> Here we go again.
